Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in the daily running of the hospital. Becoming a volunteer can be extremely rewarding and there is something new to learn every day. The work isn’t glamorous and it doesn’t always fit into normal working hours, but we pride ourselves on our lovely loyal bunch of volunteers. We don’t just need help looking after the animals in the hospital, we also need volunteer wildlife collection drivers (training will be given), fosterers (previous experience usually but not always necessary), gardening and carpentry help, and support with things like running our fundraising campaigns and events.

At the moment, we are unable to offer work experience placements if on-site accommodation is required. We hope this will change when we have completed the renovation of our barn facility.

If you think you can offer us some of your time, please do get in touch by completing the form below.

We do ask that volunteers are over the age of 16 years.

Keen to volunteer?

We have limited positions available for animal care at the hospital but we occasionally require additional volunteers at particularly busy times. We would greatly appreciate other types of support also, be that general maintenance, wildlife collection drivers, or help fundraising. If you think you can help please drop us a line. We can’t always reply straight away but we will keep your details on file and be in touch if an opportunity comes up. We are extremely grateful for all offers of support we receive.
