Who are we?
Mike Korkis, Hospital Manager and Chairman of the Charity, and Marilyn Korkis, Wildlife Care Supervisor.
The Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital is a registered charity that rescues injured, orphaned and sick wildlife in and around the county of Wiltshire. It is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, who have been rescuing and rehabilitating our wildlife for several decades. They rely totally on donations to be able to treat thousands of wild animals every year, from badgers and foxes, to hedgehogs, snakes, birds and bats. It is a lifelong endeavour that is becoming more and more essential as ever-increasing numbers of our wildlife end up victims to the pressures that human activity places on their homes and habitats.

The current hospital was established in 2001 when it was realised that in order to treat more animals more effectively a centralised service needed to be created. Since that time the hospital team has helped to treat, care for and release thousands of animals back into the wild that would otherwise have perished. They run a 24-hour service, 7 days a week. They provide essential advice over the phone to members of the public who find sick, injured or orphaned wildlife, as well as running a collection service to people who cannot drop animals off to the hospital. No rescue is too much trouble and no animal is turned away.
